5 things you didn’t know about high frequency level measurement
Cost savings: The narrow 4-degree beam means SITRANS LR560 can be installed practically anywhere on your silo. You don’t need to worry how close you are to the sides and its small size fits most nozzles. The advantage: errors caused by standpipes or internal components in the silo are minimized, significantly reducing the costs of installation and commissioning |
‘Seeing’ all of your material: The exceptionally narrow 4-degree beam angle can cope with complicated silo geometry, so you can measure everything your silo holds. |
Extreme dust is no problem: This high-frequency device can tolerate buildup, either indefinitely, or with much less expensive and less time-consuming cleaning needs. |
Reliability at all times: For extremely low dielectric, low density powders, SITRANS LR50 is the preferred solution: 78 GHz creates a short wavelength that yields extremely good signal reflections from almost any solids material, even those with a steep slope. |
Reducing maintenance: The transmitter features a unique lens antenna that is highly resistant to buildup, making it maintenance free. As well, while contacting level devices need to be regularly maintained, non-contacting radar eliminates the time and cost of cleaning or replacing cables. |
